Your lower back is where all the power and strength and stability comes from in your body. Make it strong – get aligned.
The human body is more complex than any supercomputer will ever be. The lower back is the power center where the lower body and upper body connect. And, all of the organs are in front of the lower back. The lumbar spine innervates all of the internal organs. So, if there’s ever any issues with internal organs – such as digestion, urination, elimination… there’s often times issues with the lower back. The other thing is, that the lower back innervates the lower body. If there is an issue with the lower back, there is most definitely an issue with the lower body such as the knee ankle or foot. When I do an assessment, I check all of these areas and make sure they’re all in great alignment so that there’s no abnormal biomechanics translating problems above or below.
Herniated discs are more common than you may believe. In fact, 80% of them are asymptomatic. It’s only when they become symptomatic that we freak out and think that we need surgery. Plantar fasciitis is an issue with your lower back. There have been potentially decades of stress on the biomechanical train of your leg. You see, your feet, have 26 bones, each one of those bones have to articulate easily with each other every time you take a step. If any of those bones are locked up, it’s gonna cause abnormal stress going upward. The same is true for the lower back. If there is a twisting of your lower back, this causes abnormal biomechanical stress down the leg. This shows up as plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is just a situation where the first metatarsal joint is inflamed. If it’s left on going, it can cause scar tissue and fibrosis to happen in other joints and bones in the foot.
